the robin shanael experience
Alright Beauties, I hope you got your Tea, Planners, Note Pad, Chilled Vodka or whatever ready to sit with us and learn and be inspired. I have been following Robin for a few years now and not only is her personality LIT but her mission in life is more than fulfilling. I took sometime to ask her a few questions and I hope that you will gain some knowledge and become inspired in your own missions and then some. Ready? Let’s Dive In!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who and what was your biggest inspiration/motivation in stepping into the beauty industry?
Believe it or not, my inspiration for being a part of the beauty industry came at the age of 11 while watching my cousin Percival do her makeup in her bathroom to start each day.
Who inspired your love for cooking and launching your own kitchenware?
My grandmother sparked my love for cooking as I watched her prepare all sorts of meals in her kitchen daily. As I grew into an adult, I began to practice the things that I would see her do and build upon what I had learned. As for my kitchenware, I just wanted to provide something to my supporters that I myself had never seen before. This was the inspiration for all my mug designs.
As a contestant on glam masters, what did you learn from being on the show and what is your mission moving forward since being there?
NOTHING… Next Question. Hahahahaha. Well I will say this, I have always had a passion for being in front of anyone’s lights, cameras and action, so if anything, being a part of this show fueled this desire, inspiring me to push even more out of my brand to make myself bigger and better than ever.
Who is Robin? Tell the viewers who you are and what you love about what you do.
Robin is a VIBE, period. I’m vibrant, spontaneous and most of all I live life unafraid to take chances. I would have never made it this far without being willing to take risks and reinvent myself over and over again.
As an artist what would you tell other Beauties interested in getting into the makeup Artistry business?
Take your time! Really learn your craft whether it be from a mentor or a reputable makeup company like MAC cosmetics. It is so easy to start a career in this business on your own, however if you really want to grow not only your number of clientele, but the level of it, you will have to put in the time to truly master it. If you don’t focus on expanding the very base of your skill and build upon it gradually, your business won’t grow no matter how long you work in the industry. Lastly use social media to your advantage. You can’t book those who cannot see you! Focus constantly on developing new and innovative ways to place you and your brand in front of more and MORE people. This is a job in itself!
What does Robin have in store for the future? Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
For the future you have to wait and see (wink) haha. In 5-10 years I want to open up my own café and make Robbie’s kitchenware a household name!
And there we have it folks. Straight to the point, just how I like. As we wrap this up please don’t leave without checking out her social media platforms and keeping up with her. She is real, down to earth and will give it you straight with no chaser hunnie. I want to Thank Robin for taking the time out of her day to chat it up with me and Beauties let’s wish her the upmost success.
